E3 Most Exciting Games List

Sam’s Five Most EXCITING Games for E3 2015

Tanner did a E3 HYPE FIVE, that you should read, so I decided that I might as well throw out my own list for the week that brings all that joy. Without further ado, here’s my list of the five games, or things, that I am most excited about from E3 this year.

5. Ratchet and Clank

E3 most exciting games Ratchet and Clank PS4

Platformers have been a part of my gaming life for as long as I can remember. This specifically relates to Sony platformers, starting with Crash and Spryo and then transitioning to the great Jak and Ratchet games. It was not the 5way the games even played by the wonderful worlds that were played in. Hearing of a remake of the original Ratchet and Clank didn’t really get my blood pumping at first though. Call me crazy, but an upres’d Ratchet and Clank is not game changing and I got other things to do like shine my dome. Instead, it looks like Ratchet and Clank is going to be a next gen platformer. Or current gen depending on what kind of person you are. Shed a tear when I saw how beautiful it looked. This doesn’t make me feel nostalgic just pumped for the next rad platformer out of Insomniac. We have seen a little bit, which is cool as all heck, but even if we just see a little more at E3 proper then this platformer lover will be perfectly content.

4. Plastic Instrument Revival!

Knew at one point in my young life nostalgia would finally come into play. Who know that my first bite of yearning for days gone by would be for looking like a complete dumbie while strumming, beating, and singing with plastic instruments? Back in the day we would literally have parties solely based around Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Guitar Hero Live looks kinda creepy. The whole “live” aspect feels a little much but I would be lying if I said I was not interested to take my roleplaying to the next level. Rock Band 4 looks a lot like you would expect another Rock Band. That would be more of an issue if I wasn’t looking for that exact experience and their new Show mode looks like a real HOOT! It is E3 2015 and I am excited about Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Amazing stuff.

3. Bloodborne DLC/ Dark Souls 3

E3 Bloodborne DLC
From Software should have a full E3 ahead of them. Everyone is focusing on Dark Souls 3 after The Know released a video showing leaked screenshots of the game. If true, lets hope it is, the game looks real pretty. Looks like a Dark Souls game with some next gen shine. Dark Souls is not the game I have sunk 30+ hours in within the past week though. I want Bloodborne DLC news. Just tell me there are more bosses, really. What could they do to add to this game’s lore? No idea but knowing From I expect to be razzled and dazzled.

2. No Man’s Sky

How could No Man’s Sky not get you amped? Not much to say here. Hello Games has been working on the most ambitious game ever for years now and every time it is shown off it leaves people in awe. The idea of this procedurally generated space exploration game seems entirely bonkers. It might be but I am along for the ride. Fingers crossed for a release date!

1. Persona 5

E3 List Persona 5You may have heard I love my PlayStation Vita and Persona 4 is one of the few games I plopped money on and absolutely did not regret. A classic. The golden age of JRPGs is gone but Persona is a series that does it justice with the added life simulator aspects. I know I have said this a lot so fare but it looks like a Persona game. Not a bad thing! Atlus on their site has Persona 5 listed as a 2015 release, not really news, but this could mean we get SPECIFIC at E3. Gimme my anime. Gimme my Persona.

There it is. The five things from E3 that I am most excited about. Hope you liked it! Agree or disagree? What games are you most excited about? Tell us on Twitter and follow Below Average Nerds on Twitter to keep up with all our post and podcasts for E3!
